Gish 1991 is the smashing pumpkins debut album and a blinder it is. 1991 s gish is the debut album by alt rock pioneers the smashing pumpkins. On the original version the cymbals and guitars sound a bit more natural. On the remastered vinyl you ll hear punchier bass and chamberlain s drumming is really enhanced.

This is one of my favorite albums to listen to on vinyl. I have the original gish album from caroline records and i bought the reissue version. Smashing pumpkins gish label. This reissue despite some surface noise right out of the sleeve provides the most accurate reproduction of gish available beating out the remastered digital version at least to my ears.

Rhinoceros is psychedelic rock with a haunting undertone dreamy hypnotic. First time on 180 gram vinyl packaging includes metallic printed outer sleeves printed inner sleeves with lyrics and gatefold inner. Plus the sound staging is a little better than the reissue. I am one bury me and tristessa blast along at break neck pace showcasing billy corgan s heavy riffs and individual guitar sound.

In comparison the reissue version is very good and true to the original version. Some tracks do sound a lot better than others which is true of the original release as well. Gish is a great album.
